We’re passionate about guiding teens through their college essay adventures, helping professionals save time and delete stress as they work with kids, bringing new resources to schools and nonprofits, and giving our friends in admissions offices essays they love to read.
We’ve spent over a decade helping students write better college essays, and almost that long creating tools and programs that kids love and that make our lives easier.

How to read any college essay like a pro
Most people can’t tell a good college essay from a terrible one. This one-page guide makes it easy for anyone to understand why an essay works, or doesn’t. We go through the same series of questions with our personal mentoring students every time we meet with them.
This is a powerful tool for students, parents, counselors, and teachers.

Feedback forms
We use these forms when we give written feedback and require our students to give a form to anyone giving them feedback.
With these forms, everyone is on the same page, speaking the same language.
These are based on the Write Like a Pro phases and integrate tightly with EssayQuest. We’re in the process of updating the forms to match the EssayQuest brand.
If you want a reminder when they’re posted, please email Barak or text him at 206-696-2448.
