Essay Mentors, Inc., d.b.a. EssayQuest

Last updated July 31, 2026

This policy describes what information Essay Mentors collects, how it is used, and how it is protected. It covers the Essay Mentors website and the personal mentoring engagement.

1. What we collect

From the website. We collect information when you register, place an order, subscribe to the newsletter, respond to a survey, or fill out a form. Depending on what you are doing, you may be asked for a name, email address, mailing address, or phone number. You can visit the site without providing any of this.

From the mentoring engagement. During personal mentoring we collect and store the student’s essays, drafts, and related written work, along with scheduling information and notes from sessions.

2. How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the mentoring program and respond to service requests
  • Process payments and deliver what was ordered
  • Improve the website and what we offer
  • Administer a survey, promotion, or other site feature
  • Send information and updates about an order, and occasional company news

Marketing and newsletter emails include unsubscribe instructions. Direct communication about a student’s program or an order is part of the service and is not marketing.

We do not sell or distribute personal information to any other company, for any reason, without consent.

3. Where the mentoring work lives

Work during the engagement is done in Google Drive and Google Docs, in a folder created and shared between the mentor and the student. We may use an automated notetaking tool to produce transcripts and notes from sessions; those are shared with the student. This material is not sold and is not shared outside Essay Mentors, except as described in the Terms of Service for Personal Mentoring with Barak Rosenbloom and as needed to provide the service.

4. Publishing student work

We publish student work as teaching examples and in marketing only with the student’s separate written permission, given after the application cycle is complete and once the student is 18 or otherwise of legal age. All personally identifiable information is removed before anything is published. Permission can be withheld with no effect on the mentoring work, and can be withdrawn later.

5. How we protect information

We use a secure server. Sensitive information supplied during a transaction is transmitted using SSL and encrypted into our payment provider’s system, accessible only to those with authorized access who are required to keep it confidential. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by Essay Mentors.

6. Cookies

Cookies are small files a site transfers to your device through your browser, if you allow it, so the site can recognize your browser and remember certain information. We use them to remember preferences for future visits and to compile aggregate data about site traffic and interaction.

We may work with third-party service providers to help us understand site visitors. They are not permitted to use information collected on our behalf for anything other than helping us conduct and improve our business.

7. Disclosure to outside parties

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer personally identifiable information to outside parties. This does not include trusted third parties who help us operate the website, conduct business, or serve you, so long as they agree to keep the information confidential. We may release information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Essay Mentors or others. Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

8. Third-party links

We may occasionally include or offer third-party products or services on the website. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities. We welcome feedback about them.

9. Children

In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. The website, products, and services are directed to people 13 and older. Students in the mentoring program register through a parent or guardian.

10. Your consent

By using this site, you consent to this policy.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the change on this page and update the date above.
